Here is a question for my fellow real, paper book lovers. Do you dog-ear your pages to hold your spot or do you use a bookmark?

Bookmark, mostly make-shift, like another piece of paper or something because I can never seen to find bookmarks when I need them :-/

Dog ear everything

I paint and use my own bookmarks because it’s such a great format for water coloring :) when I’m reading too many books at once, I’ll use old flowers or leaves in addition. I don’t like having folds in the pages

like

I use the page number

like

I remember the chapter #, use a bookmark, use a post it or scrap of paper.

I use an old photo of my kids when they were young as. bookmark. It's a staple for me! Could never read without it :)

I use Goodreads to track my progress.

I tried but could never follow through. Doesn't it get a bit tedious to open up the app, check how far along you were, come back to your book and continue?

Bookmarks that are tear outs from other books (of my favorite passages). I only keep ~15% of the books I read; the ones I don’t keep, I’ll tear out pages if a passage really resonates with me (rare)

My books are too dog eared of pages I want to revisit for me to use a dog ear as a bookmark

like

Hardcover, unfold the jacket cover in. Otherwise, whatever it takes

I do either. Usually bookmark but not always if none are handy.

Haha, depends on what's convenient or what's around me. Feel like I receive bookmarks all of the time and fail to use them.

Can anyone that has worked in that position tell me what its like and what to expect? Is it more like an administrative position and boring or do you really get to help clients? All feedback is appreciated!

Hello 🐠-
I recently started in a sales role. Have a heavy consulting background (20 years) imagine big four and SI experience. Question - from here how easy or difficult is it to move internally. What areas within SalesForce value the consulting skill set. I have managed large teams and P&L of $20M annual. Big name client experience and complex professional services sales and delivery experience with global teams (India, UK, Latin America).

What are some easy to make, low stress holiday meals for a school holiday staff party? I was "volunteered" by our principal to set it up this year (🙄). I'm making decorated sugar cookies but kind of drawing a blank when it comes to savory dishes. Bonus points if you have any adult holiday themed games or fun drinks to suggest! It's off school property and there will be a bar (thank god), for context.
