It’s actually good habit to read few books in order to read more in general.
The trick is to have a variety.
Let’s say one fiction book, one book about your hobby or interest and one book out of your range or expertise to challenge you.
You take the excuse of not being into the topic at the moment.
Also it’s not going to mix up if you keep the range in genres.
I always read multiple books! Different books are for different moods, levels of energy and needs. But I’ve never set a page minimum as I read for pleasure mostly, so idk how that would affect it.
Yes I have multiple books that I read at a single point in them. Although I don’t jam them on the same day. But I do have 3 books that I read in a given time frame. I pick up the book which my mind and soul is yearning to learn more about in the night out of the three. The genres are very different- I will have one fiction, one spiritual and one biography or financial. This method has helped me a lot to be on track to at least read a day.
Agree with those above, different books for different purposes/moods. Personally didn’t like audiobooks before but I had LASIK recently and they were the only medium I could work with. I still prefer to read over audiobooks, but I’ve started incorporating audiobooks into my commute listening alongside podcasts
