Hi everyone, I am 4.9 years experienced , I joined Fractal 3 months ago as a data engineer, but still haven't got any project. Process is so slow that I have received only 4 to 5 project calls. I switched in hopes that will learn the new tech and tools. But now i am starting to forget even the one i knew. Should i go for change or wait a little more time as fractal is reputed in AI/ML? I have interview lined up with Impetus as for now. Would it be better choice?

Moving internally in sales itâs not that difficult. Itâs almost like you want to transition into professional services with some sales capacity potentially as like an engagement manager or delivery Director. Youâre gonna have to wait at least a year before you can apply for any of those positions time in roll is like a very big deal here
Thx
My post is a bit long so for those that stuck along for this length⊠please feel free to DM. Iâd be forever grateful.
As an AE I feel itâs a big step down from what I was doing, the impact I am capable of driving vs. what I am driving and perceived value I bring. Comp has a HUGE variable comp. If I hit it the comp will be double of what I was making as a SM at a big 4 which was decent. But chances that happens every year are low. I like span and control. At the time of hiring was told I would own the account relationship but thatâs not the case. Core AEs mostly own accounts and you get thrown around - so much for the integration between acquisitions. I know leadership is trying and it will take time.
Reason for this post is because I am looking for some thoughts on moving internally if thatâs a possibility and if so how easy, difficult and challenging it is. Networking and putting the name out there will be required to drive successful movement in a position that I think is commensurate with my experience.
The brighter side is I am not fighting politics to the level I was at my prior firm as a Senior Manager. Work life balance is better. Iâm spending more time with wife and grown up kids.
Not regretting any of my decisions instead trying to optimize the rewards I can reap from my past hard work of 20+ years because honestly I have probably another 10 years of runway left before I run out of steam!!
