Hey what’s people’s experience with performance advertising for brands? Do you come up with multiple ideas for reaching out to new customers?

Some companies just aren’t built to have in-house creative teams. I know because I landed at one.

A former client director colleague has gone in-house as CMO. They are now asking me (currently ECD) to join and set up an agency-like creative team to up-level everything from brand to sales materials. It's a good mgmt opp and good creative is a definite possibility, but I'm conflicted. Aency BS would be nice to step away from, but I think I'm still bought into the notion that agencies are superior and in-house is where washed-up creatives go to die. Any regrets from those that made the jump?
