Hey everyone. So, I'm a total introvert, and networking events drain my battery! Any tips on building connections without feeling like I have to be the life of the party?

I usually try to find networking events, whether they be online or in person, it helps take a lot of the stress and anxiety off of me when I know that everyone around me is trying to build connections too. I also make sure to give myself an off day after one of those events so that I can recharge and not get burnt out from all of the socializing.

OP it can be so hard to network when you are an introvert. I am the same way and it really drains my battery. However, I know that it is really important and could help me out later down the road so I make myself do it.

I never strive to be the life of the party. I think you want to make an impression but not stand out as too out there. I often find those people are lacking substance and assume they’re overcompensating for something. Just show up as your authentic self!

I think it’s important to schedule in time to decompress afterwards and make sure you have at least one night a week where you don’t have a bunch of social obligations going on, no matter how fulfilling they may be.

Seeking advice: I’ve been working as an analyst at a PE company for 18months 4 days a week on a part time contract and I feel like they are under paying me. I’m earning 42.2K p.a They want me to go full time as I am graduating however I don’t know what the base salary for an analyst with 18 months experience would be. My friend who works as an analyst (with less experience than me) is earning 70K. Would love to get a sense of what I should be expecting / asking for when I go full time. Thanks!

As a newbie to accounting (completed my graduation and am currently halfway through ACCA), I've worked 3 years in accounting and account operations (AR, AP, Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and wanted to check out the other side of the coin in Finance.

I recently came across a role of Fund Accountant and wanted to really know what the day to day work looks like
