I’m in Deloitte human capital and want to eventually (but sooner rather than later) move to industry doing internal talent/people stuff. My coach recommended getting SPHR or equivalent. Thoughts?
Anyone in the Talent Acquisition space has their PHR or SHRM-CP or is thinking about getting it?
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
How much would you renegotiate your current salary to if you picked up a new HR Cert? (PHR, SPHR, SHRM, IHRM, etc)
Looking for salaries for an HR Director level in the Philly area. 15 years experience, SPHR and a masters in HR Development.
I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I am trying to move to Houston but I don’t want to move until I am confident I can obtain a position in the city before packing up and leaving.
Curious what market rate would be for my role: Head of HR for a tech start up, nationwide/remote company based out of Pittsburgh. I’m the first HR and run everything except payroll. Responsible for building comp program.career pathing, emerging leaders program, performance program, all recruiting/onboarding, L&D, etc. Thecompany is scaling and high growth. I have SPHR-SCP and 15 years experience in corporate and small companies. Currently at $102K base + 20% incentive. Seems low to me, thoughts?
I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?
Maybe some perspective might be of use to me. I’m transitioning out of the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive in the market. I’ve got two offers from great companies. Biotech and Healthcare, both on the Human Capital Team as an Employee Relations Consultant. I have a graduate degree pursuing a Doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP certified. I know this is personal and dependent, but what should I be considering as a commensurate salary?
I work in the Human Capital space and manage projects. What is worth more - SPHR or PMP? Or do either count? Obviously want to make Director and eventually more...

HR/human capital/PAS consultant 🐠: If I have a Masters degree in HR and 2 years experience, is it worth it to get the aPHR or SHRM-CP? Or is the Masters degree enough? Should I wait for SPHR/SHRM-SCP

Strong female leaders. Especially in their 30s. Would love to hear from you. How have you dealt with (unfortunately, stereotypically) old white men that have an issue with strong young female leaders? I don’t consider myself domineering but rather straight forward and assertive. And several times in my career I’ve encountered these men trying to “dull me”. How have you responded successfully?
Can we onboard cognizant with "Mail Confirmation from current employer HR on LWD"? Because after 1 to 2 week they will release "Relieving Letter".
Can anyone help in uploading the document in Accenture EAF portal. HR has sent the link to login but doesn't show any EAF link.
Had to find the link via Google but while submitting it says, "We are having high network traffic, please try again later" all the time.
My final round is pending for this EAF, any information would be helpful.

An employee asked me this about a friend of hers. Any feedback? : : If a person has a potential case (sexual assault) against a higher up in their company and they are wanting to go to HR for it, but the police have suggested not to go to HR for investigation reasons, but the person is struggling to do their job due to consistently being uncomfortable in interactions with the higher up in the company..... Hi all! Just want to be truthful - I'm getting frustrated. I'm switching careers trying to get into the HR field. Applied everywhere since August. I have my HR Management Masters. I'm getting my MBA. I've done 5 years worth of projects with my HR director. But I'm not in HR yet so I guess I don't have enough experience? I have done various roles at the Bank I work for 17 years. I just need one recruiter to take a chance on me. What else do I need to do?
Putting myself out there. I’m on the hunt for a remote Payroll Manager role. I have 8 years of payroll experience, ADP Workforce Now and implementing new policies and procedures.
Coaching leader on factors influencing KPIs.
I had a chat with my business partner, and he’s said the team is complaining about the KPIs that are too far of a stretch.
I then suggested him to unpack that a bit more. When one is not hitting their KPIs, there could be many factors.
My initial view is that it could be true but we also have to look at CAPABILITY, TECHNOLOGY, WAYS OF WORKING etc before assuming our KPI is not set up right.
What is your approach in this scenario?
Does anyone have a job application tracking software they love? I’m mainly looking for something that allows customizable application forms that allow me to ask questions outside the normal and something that I can automate rejection letters and keep a database of applicants.
Has anyone purchased of the HRCIs untimed or timed exams for the PHR or SPHR? Did you find the practice exam helpful and the questions similar to what you saw on the test?
Interested to see some perspectives - currently working at a Payroll & Benefits Specialist at a fast growing company and recently passed my PHR! I just started this role only a few months ago but am already feeling like I can take on more, but not as much as a HR manager. I’m struggling to understand where exactly it is I can go from here. I’m 25, have 3 years of experience, and get paid $59k/year.
Where does one go from here? Thanks in advance for any and all answers!

Alvarez & Marsal Super specific question: Anyone know if Alvarez & Marsal’s background check for SUPPORT ROLES (e.g., internal IT) includes a credit check?
A little paranoid because I had an offer for an internal support role with a bank a few months ago rescinded due to 2 collections accounts from my college days (6 years old, about to fall off my credit report… pls don’t judge me lol).
I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
I’m currently in campus recruiting&really would love to move to a new organization, however, Im pregnant&am expecting in January. I feel like no one will consider my candidacy seriously after hearing i am expecting. I know hiring managers can’t discriminate against hiring me because I’m pregnant, but I also dont want to be dishonest that if I start anything, I would be heading out on maternity shortly. How would you proceed? Suck it up being miserable at current company and try the switch after?
Any advice/recommendations for someone looking to move out of recruiting? I have a little over 4 YOE experience. I know moving to another HR function makes sense but I’m having trouble with what would align to recruiting skills. Thank you!
