I recently had an appraisal call with my manager, the thing is I got pointed out on my knowledge should be improved. But the thing is I somehow think that due to crunchy deadlines at work. I am not able to spend ample amount of time in upgrading my knowledge, any suggestions on how to communicate this to my manager..sorry, I am posting this at Fishbowl for the first time.. not sure, if I should be asking for this help here..

He’s in talks with his manager about moving internally in his current company but that is still in discussion. He just got an offer from another company for an infra role but they need an answer in the next week. How do you guys suggest he push for a decision from his manager about the internal move.
