What is the culture like, type of work and reputation of Capco in the Data & Analytics space?
I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

I developed eczema, deprioritised sleep (and slept 5-6 hours every night, less on the weekends), substance abuse on the weekends, gained weight, occasionally full days breathing fast feeling like im running from something all day, dreamt of work, started having nightmares that would wake me up at night... had a lot of signs, eventually also stopped caring about anything except work (which was the only non-negotiable thing in my life) and routinely fantasised about a bus or car hitting me and injuring me (but not killing me) on my way into work. Eventually had a breakdown and took burnout leave, and am finally starting a new role in industry next month.
Ooof sounds horrible, so sorry you had to go through this and appreciate your thoughtful reply. Massive congrats on your new role, too! 🚀
Crossing the line signs -- mood and ability to feel like yourself, doing the things that matter to you (like -- time for family and friends in the evenings or weekends when we should not be working). Once those things go - it's time to leave. And if physical health is not yet creaking, it soon will. Weight gain can be first, as you're probably not finding time to eat and work out.
What are you trying to build?
I think it’s a good idea tbh - wish u all the best. For me burnout is driven by how my underlying mood state changes and how positively I engage with things is affected
What red flags did your body show before your brain caught up, if you dont mind sharing a few examples
Get some retainers to save your teeth. That was the advice from my dentist -- it helps the teeth for sure, though not the underlying issue of stress, of course!
Weight gains, black eyes, forgetting things, twitching, sudden shocks, dry skins, brain fog, back and neck pain, sleep deprivation
It was 5 years ago. Now I'm in the industry where there's a good WLB.
