If you’re already considering a switch and can realistically prepare now, I’d lean toward starting the process before marriage rather than postponing it. The first few months after marriage usually come with a lot of adjustment, new responsibilities, and less predictable time for interview prep.
My suggestion: start preparing now, take interviews, and secure offers if the right opportunity comes along.
Also, your marital status or marriage plans are personal information - you’re not obligated to bring that into the hiring conversation unless there’s a practical scheduling reason.
I'm a bit confused, so if I get an offer in July or August, I'll be released from my current company in October or November. My wedding is in February, and I'm not sure if I can handle a new job with all the wedding prep. Plus, will I even get time off or work from home during marriage🤔
Why would you tell that you just got married
That's a good question I didn't think of this, but should I tell them I'm married or not, without saying when? Also, when would be the best time to switch after getting married?
