Masters only patent agent in life sciences, worked in house for 2 years as a paralegal, patent agent for one year now. What should I expect for salary in NYC boutique/big law ?

I think it is hard to tell for patent agents. I was a patent agent at a lesser known boutique firm in NYC and was getting paid in $70k-$80k range. More well-known boutiques would likely pay a bit more. Big law may pay in the $150k range but I can’t be sure of that. Could be less. Obviously, more experience may demand higher pay. I would consider staying in-house for a while, gain more experience (and more contacts), then move to a law firm where you can potentially bring your former employer on as a client.
