Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it. Funny how lawyers will spend thousands on seminars to improve trial skills. But this topic is not discussed in our profession. I have read books in sales. But am unable to find any for lawyers. I want convert every lead I can. Does anyone have tips, books, cle’s or studied this topic?

How do you handle billing disputes? Already feel like we’re a steal compared to other firms, but it’s the pits when clients kvetch about the bill after working hard on their matters. For five figure disputes, anyone recommend collections? Don’t really want to institute retainers, especially since it doesn’t seem common for our practice area.

I have US and Can. HR designations and about 3 yrs in HR in Canada. I'm currently in a process improvement role in healthcare, but really want to work in HR. I live rurally with literally no open HR roles close by. I may have the opportunity to work in a quality lead role with my current employer, but I plan to move back to the states in the next few years and want to stay marketable. I'm searching fervently for remote HR roles that may also offer US experience. I'd appreciate your thoughts!
