Advice regarding following up multiple times with lead partner about a position in his practice group? I have been in contact with the firms recruiting director as well as 4 of the firms partners. The lead partner and I were supposed to connect a few weeks back but we were never able to. My issue is that I've already essentially followed up twice. Am I overthinking it now that a few weeks have passed or
should I contact recruiting or another partner to help facilitate things?

So so tired of always being the odd one out. Does anyone stress about student loans? I have $176k in loans and as January gets closer, the panic attacks have gotten worser. I think the take that "people only started to cancel Kanye when he was anti-semitic" is ridiculous. The only reason he's actually losing deals and contracts now is MONEY. After he made the anti-semitic comments Adidas stock dropped 17% lmao. People complained and stopped supporting him on a small scale before he made those comments, but I think we (I'm Black) should have put our money where our mouths were instead and not given him a pass for so long.

I’m a 1styear, and there’s one other junior associate of color in my group.
The partner I work for keeps calling me her name. For ex: my name is “Sara” and her name is “Jasmine”. Names not similar, we don’t look alike - but I suppose we are about the same complexion. I can’t help but think it’s because we’re the only two black juniors. I was granting her grace because my mom accidentally calls me my sisters name and stuff, I get that it happens. But now it’s becoming a microagression. Advice?

Not 100% sure if it has to do with race of if my supervising partner has trust issues, but I am tired of being told to draft correspondence and having the whole document changed by my supervising partner. I know I’m an excellent writer and I have others read the documents and they confirm that it’s well written but when I submit it my boss—she strips my voice. Child of immigrants here - my parents worked very hard to provide for my education and for that I am very grateful. But they also put a lot of pressure on me growing up to study and eventually to grow up to provide for my family. In part as a result I developed severe anxiety and depression in law school.
