I have joined ZS few months back almost 6 months, before that I was an intern in a big 4 firm for 4 months. Now, I am not liking my team and work hour is too much(approx. 12 hrs) minimum on a daily basis. I want to switch to other company with a better WLB, what are the options that I can try or should I spend few more months here?

Accenture vs ZS for WLB?

I have technology backgorund but if ZS WLB is good might consider strategy too.

I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:
On a work visa
Non-white
Non-male
What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

I am so tired of it all. I’ve barely eaten in the last 3 days and had to take a painkiller last night to fall asleep. I’m so overworked and I constantly feel like a piece of sh*t. I don’t even have the energy to move right now and feel like I will faint any minute.

I work for a tech company that pays 100k tc plus 50,000 stock options. I have great work life balance, work 4 days per week on a 32 hour schedule plus it’s remote. Lately, I’ve been feeling like the compensation is on the lower end and just wanted to see if it’s in line with industry standards

Last year when Covid broke, I received a couple of interview calls but ignored them as I felt the organization kept me at work when other companies cut short their HR staff so I should be with them even if with no appraisal. 💲For those who DON'T think a six figure salary is possible:

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

Does where you get your masters degree matter? I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from.
