Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon
Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

I have a friend who just lateraled there and she has had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. She was at a super toxic firm before and the move has been life changing for her. No idea about salary but the culture (at least in the Houston office) is superb.
AA1: we might know the same person lol
It’s a great firm, it pays better than most other firms (ogletree, Jackson Lewis, etc) and the firm is getting more and more recognized every year. The Firm’s IT is also second to none, and it has some great AI resources. Highly recommend you accept!
Which office?
I highly recommend accepting. I made the switch from another firm as a midlevel. It feels like you’re at a large firm with the resources and infrastructure they have but each individual office tends to be a tight knit group. Office culture will of course vary, but mine is great.
Work life balance is decent - you may have busy periods and late nights from time to time but it’s not constant. People also don’t expect you to be glued to your phone/computer.
Finally, as someone else said, the pay is good. I think it’s market based but as a third year you could be looking at $170-$180K or so. Take that with a grain of salt, since I joined at a different level and wouldn’t know for sure.
I’m a second year in the Philly office and I make $145,000. I think all the questions you have vary based on the office. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat!
Thank you so much for all of the feedback! I think I’ll take the offer since everyone seems to have glowing reviews!
