Hi all,

I'm looking for opportunities to get into PM, for a myriad of reasons im moving away from Patient side of Healthcare. Been applying around, but seems dry as bones... Does anyone know entry level HC based PM roles, or things to include in my applications I may be missing?

I’ve worked as a PM for the last ten years and also managed a PM team. I interviewed a candidate who wanted to move from care management into a senior PM role. I did not offer her the role because she didn’t have a good explanation for why she wanted to make the transition. When asked, she just said “I want to learn something new.” A better response would’ve been more specific (e.g. I really love organizing people and tasks) or highlighted a past experience where she had acted as a PM in her role (e.g. I helped my leader plan a [meeting/product launch/campaign/website].

Hi All,

Need some career advice.

I have a year of experience in a clinical ops role where learning is quite stagnant. I’m eagerly looking to transition to good challenging opportunities in life science consulting/analytics and allied domains. Which organisations/startups/roles should one apply to being a non-technical applicant with a masters in biotechnology?

It would be really helpful to get your guidance on further course of action.

TIA!

Hey y'all, kind of a two part question:
1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

I need advice.
I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it? (I ran out of characters)

Hi all,
I have a small creative agency that I have built over the last 4 years. It’s been a rollercoaster when it comes to revenue, making it hard to predict finances & pay myself consistently. This year has been particularly financially stressful.

The thought of closing hurts my heart and my pride and can feel like wasted time. But financial stability vs time freedom is rough.

I also recently got a full-time job offer for $200k base with excellent benefits. It’s tempting. What would you do?

Hey everyone, do you all know of any helpful resources or tools to manage projects? I’m working on four different projects right now and want to make sure I am meeting the needs of my stakeholders in a timely manner.

Can anyone guide me to useful resources to create a Risk Matrix for an IT Project? Preferably aligned with industry standards.

Recently, I inherited a mess of a project. During the scope stages, it became more and more apparent that effective communication hadn't been established across all key stakeholders.

I'm a firm believer that the right communication establishes a structure for effective project execution. It lays down clear project goals and objectives, leaving no room for ambiguity.

Creating a communication matrix often makes a difference to planning. How do you manage your communication within your projects?
