I have been promised a promotion three times now, but when the time comes, I'm told I'm not there yet. Why promise something if you clearly don't want to execute it?

What kind of raise advancement can you expect/negotiate in for in-house corporate counsel? I’ve heard it can be difficult to get substantial raises over time in-house. Would love to hear some ideas and experiences, as I am thinking of making a move from my government counsel role.

I’m a 2nd year marketing associate at a boutique asset management firm in the NYC area. Base comp is near 100k currently, all in comp around ~110k. What are reasonable expectations for a raise/bonus as I come up on my annual review?

Is anyone else finding it difficult to get a raise this year because of market conditions? I moved from a business analyst role to a management role and didn't get a raise even though I'm taking on significantly more work. The terrible market conditions are what my boss pointed to. Is this happening at other companies also?

How do I raise a request in concur portal as it throws an exception ( EEA approval required) when I input the actual expense as the amount greater than the limit. I'm an EA at a small global consulting firm (<25 people) with 5 years of experience supporting C-Suite execs. 3 months ago, the CEO put me in charge of our marketing efforts, and yesterday, he fired our recruiting coordinator and asked me to take over her job. I'm asking him for a raise on Thursday. I want to be a team player but am feeling like my job is a catch-all now. How would you define my role and how should I approach this conversation?

I work in tech and have been at my current company for 6+ years now. I'm basically a senior level data analyst and I'm really the only person at my company with that skill set so I get A LOT of high priority requests from every dept. It can get overwhelming.
The idea was just floated to hire and train 2 analysts to work beneath me so that I can focus more on strategy, big picture and optimizations. Should I be asking for a raise and title change? I did get a pretty decent raise in February too.

I’m a 3rd year associate at a MM PE fund that has been successful in deploying our first fund and we’re now raising our 2nd at ~$400M. I was the 1st hire 2+ years ago and am the only associate. I do everything including DD, PortCo value creation and IR. Currently paid $250k all-in in a HCOL but with no carry & work 70+ hrs. Am I paid market? How should I broach a title/raise/carry participation discussion? My partners haven’t run a PE firm before as they were operators so not sure they know.
