Hi all, I’ve used fake certificates to show 3 years of experience and recently interviewed with a small startup (2-10 employees). I cleared rounds, and they’ve asked for documents, including Form 16 and bank statements. I had someone experienced in editing documents create versions, as I couldn’t provide originals. The person who helped assured me that these edits would pass a background verification (BGV) without issues, and My question is how strict is the BGV process for such small startups?

An agency I freelance for wants to hire me full-time. They told me for a Sr Copywriter, 100-110k. I countered with 125-150.

I also said I'm interested in a higher-level title - I currently freelance as a Creative Director of Copy elsewhere (they don't have that title at this agency.)

They came back and said yes to the title and to 125, with a 6 month review that could raise it to 145.

Which is good for Sr Copy, but low for CD/ACD level. Don't want to screw myself over. What to say now?

Has anyone done a contract to hire position with JPM? How does it work for time off, is there vacation built in? I have young kids and can’t imagine not having any time off, even if on contract work, since illness happens and also, I have a family trip for them this summer… while waiting on conversion to permanent, do you have to work endlessly or is there something in place to make some reasonable work life balance? For those who have done contract to hire to get in the door, was it worth it?
