Hi All, need some suggestion, i am currently working as Fullstack developer with 7+years of experience , tech stack being Java Springboot, Node Express and Angular, current ctc is 16.49, i got an offer from Autodesk of 29.5 base + 10% Variable +RSU 26000USD vested over 4 years. They told me RSU varies team to team, and from June there is change i policy in regards to RSU, is the correct? If no how much can i negotiate on this?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

I wanted to understand how RSUs work in your favour? I mean if I am getting rsus amounting to 40% of my package, and another company is matching the package with all fixed, should I still choose Autodesk package? How about selling them and taxation? Is it really beneficial or risky?
