MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? Anything else that people have negotiated during their exit? I'd be leaving a large amount of bonus on the table to leave before the end of the year.

Assuming that I'm okay with a salary of 70K and more, and that I really don't want to work at a law firm. Is it going to be difficult for me to return to law with two years of experience and one year working in a legal adjacent role.

Hey guys. I used to do IB but I just left. I just recently started this new role at a tech company a few weeks ago and I got a message on LinkedIn about another opportunity that I think is a million times better. I spoke to the recruiter a few days ago and she knows I left IB but I didn’t tell her I started a new role. Honest question: Why do people do Consulting when Big Tech offers higher TC, zero travel and often times more meaningful work?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

How important is a master's degree for your career? Can you have longevity and thrive in the tech world with just a bachelor's?
