Only if you are a very critical resource who has threatened to leave if not given promotion or the PM feels you might leave, only then you will get promotion. I have never seen anywhere else any merit based promotion by the management side.

Before overthinking, maybe check if anyone else in your account actually got promoted — might save some deep analysis.
Also, the usual checklist:

Certifications — because obviously PDFs matter.
All of these can matter… and also not matter at all.
Because at the end of the day, what really counts is how well your impact is “presented” to your manager — not just what you did.

If no one got promoted — then either:
Expectations are set somewhere in the “beyond human effort” category, or
It’s just another creative way of cost optimization

In this post one is telling 23- 30 percent.
Not logically found true..
Anyone can confirm from LTM guying 30-40 percent hike given for promotion?
Please help so people can understand better.
