Magnet tiles
We're getting our 2.5 year old son a sword set, pretend food/kitchen set, toddler weed eater + blower (he's obsessed with the adult version of these), his favorite books that we've had rented at the library for months, and a new toddler house bed. That's all I can think of at the moment
A play kitchen, or a play tool bench. Or a balance bike.
My kiddo is 2.5 and these are her favorite toys right now: Magna-Tiles (splurge on the name brand, it’s worth it), Duplo Legos, her balance bike, and toy cars, specially construction vehicles.
Good to know!
At that age, my boy liked Melissa and Doug pretend play toys (pizza, kitchen stuff, etc), his balance bike, cars. He loved and still loves his brio train tracks.
And you can’t go wrong with books
Ditto this! My boy was 2.5 last Christmas and this past year since has all been about role-play. Melissa and Doug pizza set. The ice cream shop. The play kitchen. Playmobil or little people sets.
