I have recently spoke with JPMorgan HR about my offer and asked if they could match another offer I have. They said no and asked me to confirm my decision by EOD weather i am willing to join or not , mentioning they have backup candidates.

I’ve already expressed strong interest in joining JPMorgan.

Is it common for offers to be affected or revoked in such cases, or is this just standard process?
