Is it important to tell recruiters your end goal when first reaching out? For example, I’m interested in switching from litigation to transactional, but my eventual goal is to go in house. Hi guys, I am working as an Investment Analyst for a boutique asset management firm in Toronto, Canada (4bn AUM) making 70k annually. I am 5 months into this role. Credentials: 6 months of prior experience in this industry at a small startup + 2 years of work exp in retail banking, CFA L2 candidate, part time masters of finance student, bachelors from outside of Canada. I want to find out if I’m being paid fairly or I should aim higher. I don’t know my bonus yet (discussion in Dec)
