I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

I’ve been told that cold applying and making no contacts is usually not going to lead to anything, and that’s been true in my experience. But should I reach out to someone first? I am a bit confused. I am working on a project where tech stack is c++ ,ts/js. I didn’t see much of technical growth. I resigned.

1. I am given a chance to switch to the internal project which is in java. I know logic plays the role not the language but still I’m a bit hesitant. However the project seems cool. The tool is similar to Jira in it’s R&D phase.
2. I’m also having another offer where tech stack is modern c++ (cybersecurity tool)
Which option should I consider?
