Minimum 18
Good 22+
There are a few things taken into consideration
- You haven't specified your current CTC, so I took a general trend and suggested a conservative number, obviously, if your CTC is higher, you will earn more
- I'm considering a job in Top Tech companies like Microsoft or Amazon, etc. Over there you will easily get 30-40 LPA.
- I'm only talking about FIXED COMPONENT without Variables and ESOPs/RSU.
Now the number which I quoted is good to have a decent lifestyle in India as you will get at least 1.2L+ in hand after tax, and assuming the age as 26-27, you won't have much liability. You can always aim higher and this is just to give an idea like if you are earning this much, you will be earning well above a large proportion of the society.
I hope you get the crux of what I want to convey.
I'm not demotivating you, just a number for the masses. I could have quoted a fancy number like 25-30, but only a very few can get that, and if you amongst those few, you have my best wishes!
Cheers! Happy Job Hunting!
