I currently work in KGS ESH department and the work is for audit planning which involves risk and compliance assessment. I have recently received offer for Grant Thornton and the role is similar but the maximum hike they will give is for 30-35% which is not good enough for me.
Also, the process I’m in is also not the one I see my future in. Can anyone suggest what should I do? Should I stay at KPMG and grow my profile in some other domain here or should I take Grant Thornton offer.

Is it easier to move from management consulting to deals or vice versa?

I’ve got a friend in Dubai who has experience in IB and VC at junior levels (in London and Dubai) and would like to break into consulting. He’s at a small cap VC at the moment and works not that challenging, and he wants to break into MBB or tier 2 for strategy. Anyone happy to look at his CV?

Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. Acquaintance was switching insurance policies and flubbed the coverage dates and there were a few days where the vehicle was uninsured. No GAP insurance. I'm not seeing many options for her besides to continue pmts, fixing just enough to drive or voluntary repo. Thoughts?
