I m not sure of nexus but it all depends upon director if they want it they do it if they do not they don't. My friend was matched 30 Percent hike outside, while I did not get even 5 percent or 10 percent increment on ad hoc basis. So choose wisely whatever u wanna do.
Also it depends on ur current pay I have seen consultants getting upto 20 lakhs also so if u r already a anamoly it might be tough

They do try to retain if you are a critical resource or if you are a high performer. For the right resource, the can sometimes not only match the offer but exceed it too or add a retention bonus if required.
In all cases, the HR will reach out to you and ask your reasons for resignation.
