Hello, I need your advice. I am currently in management in primary care. I have a strong management background in specialty hospital practice management. Recently some leadership positions have become available and I feel as if my leader has discouraged me from applying. His take is that I should take certain steps before applying, however I have the experience from my previous employment in this leadership role. Would I be overstepping to apply anyways ?

How do I keep my team engaged when I am also struggling to stay motivated?

Our department has had a lot of turnover within the last few months, all of which were from different reasons (school, family issues, opportunities close to home, etc.). It has been a challenge to divide the workload, while still trying to remain flexible and provide a work-life balance.

However, I’m starting to feel stressed and disengaged. Any suggestions to make it through the changes?

I have a new employee that started last Monday, unfortunately it’s not going to work out. Long story, but we’re fairly certain the individual is using Meth and appears to have started/restarted fairly recently. I work with physicians, so it’s a consensus.
