Can you clarify something for me? Are you entering this data manually? Most of this process is automated for us.

Good question! It’s a mix for us. Some parts are automated, but a large chunk still needs manual entry and verification, especially during peak periods. That’s where staying focused really matters.
I don't have to enter anything so I can't relate to that bit, but I feel the holiday fatigue hard. Dealing with nonstop store traffic is exhausting. I try to just zone out and let muscle memory take over. And I drink an unhealthy amount of coffee to keep from falling asleep at my register.

I drink an unhealthy amount of coffee every day. ;) At least I limit myself to one energy drink a day....usually....sometimes 2

I haven't worked anywhere where we had to enter data like this so I can not relate but the way explained your situation, it seems a lot of work.

Totally fair, it definitely ramps up during peak times 😅 Appreciate you saying that though! It’s one of those things that doesn’t sound intense until you’re in it.

Many, many years ago (before data entry was automated at all), my dad was between the two jobs he had his entire adult life, and took a job entering data at a bank.
A very meticulous man, he was not fast, but he had zero errors. One day, the supervisor had a talk with him about his speed and said "we can afford a few errors" Not long after that, there was a shift meeting, where everyone was yelled at about their "unacceptable error rate"
It truly was a different time
