Honestly, it’s getting exhausting. I work my tail off, hit my targets, and go the extra mile, but somehow it’s always the same handful of people getting the plum assignments and public recognition. It’s like no matter how much value I bring or how many late nights I put in, I’m invisible next to the “favorites.” It's incredibly demotivating. I just want a fair shot to grow and be acknowledged for my actual work. Does anyone else face favoritism at work? How do you wrap your head around it?

When I tell you I felt this in my soul. It sucks to be invisible and be working so hard but sometimes you have to take that hard work elsewhere and go where you are appreciated.

Good advice.

For sure! I've been dealing with this since my first day at work, and I feel like my career opportunities have been limited because of it.

It always is a lot of the same people getting the recognition, but I do still have the numbers to back me up when I have a review to go into. Or if I wanted to make a resume to somewhere else that might be a little more appreciative! I find that I really do have to advocate for myself a lot.

For sure!
