Likely getting an offer soon - already have planned vacation starting Tuesday until the new year. Do I give notice before I get the written offer/background check so I can leave before holidays but risk offboarding during vacation or give notice my first day back? Can anyone tell me how bad is wlb at sapient do they pressurize people and make them work for long hours?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

Is anyone here familiar with RSUs and stock options as part of divorce? My arbitrator was not and she asked us to hire an expert to get a valuation. She’s convinced I cannot take my portion in kind if we could not settle on the value and I don’t want to be forced to sell my half to Husband at whatever valuation expert provides today (RSUs and stock options are under Husband’s name). What are examples of “non-billable” tasks that attorneys are completing? Backstory: I’ve seen firm softwares advertise their products saying, “You can’t bill for these tasks so you should have our software do it.” The task would be something like drafting a financial statement that is filed with the court. I would think that is billable.

Hi, wondering what gifts, if any, you have received from clients after completing their divorces. I am a big law attorney currently getting divorced in a messy proceeding, and once it’s over (god willing in this lifetime) I’d like to give my attorney and the paralegal who worked on my case a gift.
