I recommend a book called “Outwit the Workplace Bully” by Dawn Johnson.
This is an outstanding book very relevant and spot on! Thanks for the recommendation!
Therapy and it takes time. It’s been two years for me and I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.
Therapy. I am seeing one now. Just started two week ago because I learned that I was experiencing workplace trauma and that it was a real thing. I have worked in highly competitive environments that incubates bullying behaviors. And I had one in my group who targeted my entire team. I have experienced patterns of trauma throughout my life from childhood that made me normalize and accept and submit to toxic people and environments. I decided that I was unwilling to live my life in chains. So I started with therapy and I also have seen a deliverance minister. Invest in yourself and find therapy. Good luck and hang in there. Healing comes.
Aw thank you. I have. 😊
My PTSD came from trauma outside of the workplace, but it had a huge impact on my work for a couple of years. Therapy is the answer. Trauma isn't something you can just tough through.
It took me years of therapy, but I finally came to the realization that my workplace bully was low-class, tacky, and low-budget, and was uninspiring. So, why would I be hurt? lol
