How difficult is it to transition into a trader role from wealth management? Currently an FA and use to work on a trade desk for 2 years a while back. Series 7, 63/66. Would I have a good shot of being accepted at a Trading prop. Firm, even as a junior trader?

Which companies have best WLB, least stressed DS/DA roles? I’ve been suffering from some immunology issues and stress from work would worsen it, therefore I want to move to a company/role with good benefit (esp. healthcare) and great WLB (little chance of PIP, etc). Please help. I am a top producing financial advisor (mostly insurance) and I hate my job. Im so sick of feeling like all I do is prospect for clients to sell whole life to. I have a series 7 & 66 and life and health. I just want to do something in the financial world. Whether that be actually advising clients, investment banking, or anything. I’m 25 years old and have a year of experience. What are some options?

Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate. I would (obviously) like the money but my real objective is just getting experience/networking since I recently moved to a new state and don't have clients of my own.

Any tips for how to better implement feedback on drafts? My work is so heavily redlined that I struggle to consistently follow through with every comment/feedback. I am in patent prosecution, so it is a lot of detailed technical writing, but is also fairly formulaic, which is nice. Thankfully the partner I work with is extremely patient and a very good teacher, I would just like to be better at learning from his very thorough feedback.

There is this big bank where I'd love to work at, and after several interviews for various positions they end up promoting someone from within, even thou I understand it and think it’s good they promote their people, it left me feeling like I'm just being used to comply with the process.

I have an offer in PE VP role in Citco and JPM and I am at cross road on which is one to company to choose. Their pay is very similar but JPM is offering an attractive signing on bonus. I need a honest advise on which is better between these two firms.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus. On top of that I have 5 years experience and a masters in finance. I’m good at my job and receive positive reviews from everyone. I feel like I should be compensated better but the company says that’s what they think I’m worth. Any help or insights would be great!
