Hey everyone, I just applied for Citi bank for an AML compliance analyst position. It’s a hybrid position in Tampa FL. Any feedback on the company, salary, Company values, benefits please and thank you. Citi
I was an AML analysts a little bit over a year. The stress and the amount of work is terrible. And management do not care about wlb/ you. Avoid that department if you can. My new role is amazing is like working for complete different company.
Yo! What values? The company is as disorganized as can be. I joined citi for the same reasons, salary increase. It was about 20k increase for me and I remember thinking, “this company has been in existence for a while, their onboarding is going to be a breeze”. It was not! In my department, it was self-onboarding. They gave me a document (about 70 pages long) and i followed it to request access to certain things. Then followed by methodology training that had 4 cycles, somehow, i was enrolled in cycle #3 and 4 before 1 and 2(which came several months after). Imagine my confusion. Then you spend hours trying to complete a certain documentation/ test without any help, coz no one either has the time to help you or they don’t know how to do it. I try not to regret my decision daily. But… I do. Overtime i adjusted to the madness and just went with it. Hakuna Matata!
Bottomline: think of Citi’s processes like a puzzle with a million pieces, one day you’ll figure it out, or not. But Don’t worry… the sun will still rise the next day!
It truly depends on your position, some places get slammed, my area we are salaried and literally not allowed to work weekends without prior written consent. If you are in your position for a year and don’t like it you can post out and move. Network as much as possible and get yourself out there, you will have more opportunities. I’m sorry that some people are in poor positions but know they are not all that way!
I’m in the San Antonio office, but the most like benefits are the health care and great dental, we also have a met life legal plan pretty good amount of PTO too
I’m not too sure on the other stuff but I interviewed with them and was asked maybe 5 times how I deal/cope with stress in a myriad of ways. That was a red flag for me so I withdrew my application.
Lol values? It’s Citi. Ain’t no values.
It's a bank...what values do you expect beyond the bottom line?
