Hi folks, I have 6.5yrs of experience in Java, Springboot, Microservices. Does anyone have any idea about Optum Global Solutions, Hyderabad. I was told that the Project which I will be assigned to is an IVR application responsible for middleware services and the shift will be from 2 pm-12 am. Any idea which project is it going to be and how is the work going to be? Do they expect us to extend beyond 12 am on a regular basis?

Depends on how full the flight is. last week’s flight was 50% full - throw all your shiza up there. If the flight is 98-100%, put your kid’s Dora backpack under your f-ing seat before I throw it at you.
I am 100 percent against this. It’s a trigger for me esp when they make folks gate check due to lack of overhead space.
I have a picture off a non rev getting on a plane w 6 separate bags in MSP.
If I were truly cynical, I wouldn't give a crap. My bag always gets on, but numerous people with less experience have to go through the anxiety of finding somewhere for their bags and then "gate checking" it which is a jargon term that many passengers don't understand.
If I ran the airline, every non rev traveling to their home base would be required to gate check their luggage.
The fact they don't should be highly sus to the general flying public.
I always travel with a day backpack where i fit my laptop and a sandwich. If i have a trolley, i check it in.
I am practically forced to always travel with my backpack under the seat in front of me. The overhead bins are needed by those who refuse to check in their huge trolleys and board with 2 pieces of luggage.
I understand why i am asked to put my backpack in front of me but it's really annoying because i feel like I'm being punished for traveling light
I'm a million miler and I check my luggage more than 80% of the time. I realized a long time ago I don't need the stress of managing my luggage when the airlines do it for free. I enjoy the walk through the airport to baggage claim and in my home airport I rarely get there before my bag.
Interesting fact: 87% of people who say the airline lost their luggage are bald face liars who need drama in their lives to increase their esteem. Not many people know that.
Lastly, twice I have checked someone's luggage to Fargo after watching them stuff their suitcases over the bulkhead row and then proceed to the back of the plane. Alas, can't do that anymore.
My backpack is always full but I have no guilt over putting it in the overhead if it is my only carry-on. I paid for my seat, space in the overhead, and under the seat in front of me. I’m only using 2/3 of my allotment.
I don't understand why people get angry when others put their coats in the overhead bins. Big trigger for many. Personally I don't understand the rage...it is a personal item after all 🤣
It’s been cool to see the responses.
People pay for their seat and the ability to carry x belongings of y weight on board. Overhead and under-seat storage is not actually guaranteed at ticket purchase.
On an less-full flight I don’t really care where people store their belongings (I typically have one roller carry on that doesn’t fit under a seat and a personal item) but it’s a pain when traveling for work and having to check at the gate because someone didn’t want to put their bag under the seat. I’ve had enough sprint-across-the-airport extremely close calls for connecting flights that could have been averted and see too many slow-to-onboard flights because people don’t bother putting things that fit below the seat under the seat.
People who put their backpacks in the overhead are the same inconsiderate folks who don’t return their shopping carts to the bin in a parking lot. How you handle the small things is indicative of how you handle everything.
Immediate no-fly list.
