How badly do you need the work? The advice to always negotiate isn't as true today as it used to be. Sometimes you have to remember that you are competing against 20 other candidates with the same experience who would be willing to work for less just to be employed. If the job offer isn't a complete lowball, I would take it, and then job hunt for a higher salary in your free time.
"do not feel like you have much leverage." Ignore the voice in your head that's telling you that. The fact they made you an offer means DO have leverage. Use it! I've negotiated for more money tons of times, and my resume is hardly impressive.
