How do you ask for more when you are still early in your career and do not feel like you have much leverage? I keep telling myself I should be grateful for the opportunity but part of me knows I deserve better. Did anyone take that risk anyway.

How badly do you need the work? The advice to always negotiate isn't as true today as it used to be. Sometimes you have to remember that you are competing against 20 other candidates with the same experience who would be willing to work for less just to be employed. If the job offer isn't a complete lowball, I would take it, and then job hunt for a higher salary in your free time.

"do not feel like you have much leverage." Ignore the voice in your head that's telling you that. The fact they made you an offer means DO have leverage. Use it! I've negotiated for more money tons of times, and my resume is hardly impressive.

can anyone tell me what is the work policy in S & P Gurgaon ? is it hybrid model or wfh?

Hi all,

My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

What is this? This is normal?

Stereotyping?
Racism?

The first time I ignored that, but now it has become a pattern and is bothering me now. I am south-American working in the UK.

I need advice.
I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it? (I ran out of characters)
