How do you deal with regret in your financial life like not investing earlier, selling too soon, or making a big purchase you later questioned and keep it from influencing your current decisions in a negative way? Do you actively adjust your strategy, or is it more about mindset and discipline to avoid overcorrecting or chasing what you feel you “missed”?

If it's something that already happened, I obviously can't change it, so there's no point in obsessing over it. What matters is to learn what I did wrong and make sure I don't do it again. Dealing with the market, it's inevitable that some things will not go your way. The key is to make sure you don't make a habit of making the same mistakes over and over.

Mindset and discipline. That money/profit is gone. Ruing over it will not bring it back. Learn what you can from your missteps, then put them out of your mind.

You live and you learn. You can’t dwell on the past, but you can make better decisions now and course correct

I have an interview tomorrow at a mid sized firm. What are some questions you wish you asked your current firm? I’m moving from another firm that I thought would be a good fit but turned out to be shitty so I want to scope out red flags early if possible.

User experience mgr salary? I support six product teams and eight reports. 20+ years experience

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.
