If they get me the job I need I don't care when they call
I’m a recruiter and have been in this field for over 20 years. I operate when I think it’s the best time to make contact with my market. Those that I contact after “business” hours are appreciative that I’ve taken time out of my day to assist them. Why would I try to reach out at times when they’re dealing with patients? Counterproductive if you as me.
The problem with your statement is that you don’t know what shifts anyone is working. You could be calling during a time when a person is sleeping having dinner with our family and so forth it would be much more appreciated. If you just send an email or a text versus calling.
I don’t mind if they call with a position I am seeking; however they should respect the different time zones AND should leave detailed messages so the call can be returned in an informative manner.
As a former physician recruiter, I am all too aware of the pressure Recruiting firms give to their employees. For example, my office's mandate was 3 hours on the phone or 300 calls a day. I only called after hours if requested. It's twisted. . .
So many recruiter jobs have been farmed out, some over seas. In my opinion if they cant look up you time zone etc. I wouldn't answer.
The weekend thing could be not wanting to disturb you during normal day hours if you looking to change the position your in. I personally message first, and Identify my self, ask when is a good time to call.
Agree!!!
Or leave a message!!! Not one leaves a message.
