Anyone sell to Zillow? Got an amazing offer from them, but naturally my floor decided to start deforming right before inspection. No water damage - I can get someone out here to fix it ASAP, but wondering if it’s worth the hassle. Mostly worries inspector will think there’s water or foundation issues

Watch out for the fees. Typically, it costs 9-20% to sell your home through Zillow, vs the traditional 6% through agents. You’re paying a premium for the convenience but likely leaving money on the table if you live in a competitive market. Open Door charges less in fees but may not pay as much. Both will send inspectors out and then deduct any costs for necessary repairs.

I have noticed Zillow buys and then marks up $30-50k to resell so maybe try listing outside as well.

Nope, it’s instead of commission. So 2.5% + closing costs

Redfin > all others

Unfortunately, Redfin doesn’t do cash offers in my area

I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing. The first one seemed like a good fit at first but then it turned out to not be the best place for me so I left. At my current agency I feel super undervalued. I’m always raising my hand and offering to help where I can and no matter what I do, I don’t feel utilized or valued or part of the team. It’s really taken a toll on my confidence

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.

I cant afford to live in NY anymore and need to move bc my landlord is selling the house.

I don't think I have enough time to buy a home. I have less than 2 months to move.

I think relocating is my best option and just renting something in Denver, CO or Tampa, Fla. I'm an early 30s f and would be living alone.

I would prefer a townhouse if possible, but it seems harder to find them so far.

Due to a family situation we are looking to move to a different state. Normally we would sell our current home and buy a new home in our new location. However, with todays prices and interest, will it make more sense to rent out our current home and rent a home ourselves vs. selling and buying immediately when we move? We are moving from Vegas to Sacramento and we are not sure how long we would stay in the new area. Thoughts?
