How do you let a guy down?

This one guy continues to pursue me - however, I’m not interested and feel I’ve given him enough hints (nonverbal) that I’m not.

I’m not a fan of ghosting but I feel like it’s the only option short of directly coming out and saying “we are not a match.” Plus I might see this guy in the future as we run in similar circles, so I have to be as diplomatic as possible here.

Any suggestions?

I am stuck in IR purgatory. I hate IR. I started off my career ten years ago as a deal guy. Then my firm asked me to shoulder IR responsibilities as well. I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. Almost midnight here and I'm cleaning my medicine cabinet so I can reboot having a regular skin-care routine.
