If you're under 30, you just work to gain experience. When job hunting, you embellish/stretch the truth on your resume to appear more experienced.
If you're over 50, you remove decades of experience on your resume to seem younger.

That’s all the context you are going to give us OP?
Can you give us more context?
I have found ageism to sometimes be a bias towards experience which is not always wrong. Young clever people (including me in the past) get frustrated when their ideas are not given as much weight as someone who has worked in the industry for years. The issue is sometimes that the young person simply does not have the experience to understand why the other ideas are better. So you think you have a better idea but the grown-ups are actually right.
Often the answer is ‘yep, that is logical but we have all tried that and it doesn’t work’ but you would only know that if you had more experience.
