How many of you are actually concerned about taking vacation PTO bc of utilization?

In 2023 I'm wanting to help make my management more effective. So, I'm looking for a book or a couple of books to gift my team this holiday season. I would like books that focus on communication and taking ownership. Any recommendations?

If you were in a private company assistant controller position being offered $10k more to switch over to public and much better PTO days and fully remote as opposed to an in office position that I’m currently at in a Real estate growing company. Would u do the switch back to public (left public just recently)?

We are seeing more pushback from employees on working 40 hours. We offer flexibility (wfh), 11 holidays and another 3 wks PTO. Seems like a good gig, I think, at 40-45 hrs. Anyone seeing this too?

So I had 3 deals scheduled to either close end of May or mid June which were all pushed to end of June/beginning of July. I’m running one of the deals, semi running the other one and not doing much leading on the other one. Note: I was supposed to not be running any of these. Do I find a back up first or tell the partners first?
