How do you prioritize your health when the culture clearly doesn’t? My company says they care about employee wellness, but I haven’t had a real lunch break in weeks. I eat leftovers cold, standing up, between Zoom calls... once it was 3:45pm before I even realized I hadn’t had water all day. We have a Slack channel called #selfcare, but any actual attempt to take a breath is met with eye-rolls or last-minute meeting invites. I want to take better care of myself, but it feels impossible when I’m being praised for burnout and guilted for rest.

Yea definitely create a boundary. I set my lunch for 1 hr & auto decline any meetings with a note to reschedule if my attendance is mandatory. If not then I won’t be in attendance.

It’s hard, but I started blocking my lunch on my calendar and treating it like any other meeting. Sometimes you have to create boundaries even when no one else respects them. You can’t pour from an empty cup, even at a high-performing job.

Comparable Comps for Micro-cap software companies...

Trying to understand market value for a target and struggling to find comparable comp set. I’m new to working on deals this small and any guidance on how to approach this would be appreciated (I.e., specific resources to reference, type of multiples typically used - Ebitda or rev. NTM/ LTM).

Target info: >$2MM rev., ~100K EBITDA, ~10% YoY growth

Thanks!

I was downsized by this company 6 years ago and had worked for them for 8 years prior. I am now in talks with them about another oppertunity but they do not want to let me start back with those 8 years. I looked up standard practice and according to the standards at the Society of Human Resources Management HR should give me my time back cause I was downsized (not fired for cause and I did not quit). What should I do?
