Keep them motivated rather that's with incentives or affirmations. At my firm we give out weekly gift cards to our "star of the week" and that person gets Friday off

Make the work environment fun. Employees work better in a place that they enjoy going to. Have fun days like taco tuesday or fun friday

Be transparent about your goals ad expectations but also allow a safe space for employees to be able to tell you if they are in the emotional or mental space to meet those goals

Does your company offer wellness packages in the benefits? That might be something to bring up to HR. We give a stipend ($40) for fitness classes

Finding the best balance between performance and well-being requires a personalized approach. For instance, at my company, we set up weekly check-ins with our employees to ensure that their workloads are manageable and that their stress levels are in check. We also provide additional resources such as mental health benefits and flexible scheduling to ensure that our employees can prioritize their physical and mental health.

New to Toronto, moved to the west end of town/ just past - in Etobicoke. I celebrate my 40th a few days after NYE/NYD - would love some recommendations on moderately priced but nice ambiance restaurants for myself + husband, and my extended family. Everyone is scattered throughout (Hamilton, Barrie, Lyle, Newmarket, North York). Don’t want anything too fancy but don’t really know where or what is good and not downtown.

Any recommendations? (Open to GTA of course).

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Look forward to hearing your experiences and wisdom!

Was trucking my load across statelines, as one usually does. Turns out the new guy sitting next to me was never properly trained on how to secure said load inside the truck. Now we're trying to put everything back in it's place and it's so annoying. I don't blame him but still.
