You don't have to quit your job just have to take time to heal and don't be afraid to tell your boss, I really prefer someone who tells me the truth about their mental health than waiting for something bad to happen to realize that I had a problem because of something that happened.
It is always good to take a break and stop for a moment you should not overexpose yourself if you feel that way.
The most important thing you are already doing, you are aware that you have anxiety about what happened, what comes now is to seek help.
Seek professional help, stop driving and take a break, talk about what happened with your supervisor if he does not tell you to seek professional help, and tell him that you will because you do not feel in total condition.
I know a colleague to whom something similar happened to him but in his case, he could not stop adequately and had the same impact on the person but the person did not die, this friend did not go to help a professional 3 months later and several accidents, he underwent a psychological evaluation and unfortunately he did not He was able to continue driving, I recommend that you discuss it with your boss, with a little therapy I know you can improve that.
