Recommendations for a weekend in SF?
Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

In this type of case, you should speak directly with the driver, I recommend you fire him/her immediately. Any accident that the driver has in one of your trucks will bring your company legal expenses.
I think you should consult with him and look for a solution to the problem with the necessary help.
It would be a good option to ask him and follow up on his behavior, I would even recommend suspending him while you clarify what happened and you can find out if those bottles were drunk by him or if he was using them empty for something else.
A direct dismissal is not recommended unless you have proof that those bottles were taken by the driver, call him to your office and talk to him about what happened.
Definitely talk to him at least for a bit before deciding to fire him. You can't necessarily prove that he was drinking on the job or at all
This could be a bit more complex than it appears at first blush. I have a friend who has been drinking heavily since he lost his wife last year, but you would never know from looking at him; conversely, one of the most sketchy-looking guys I have ever met never drank at all because both of his parents had been alcoholics. So you can't just assume anything
Possibly, but it's not illegal for the guy to drink as long as he is (I assume) over 21. Is he more of a long haul trucker who is gone for a few weeks at a time? Because in that case, he isn't working 24 hours a day and you have no say in what he does when he's off the clock. Even if he were getting plastered every weekend, but were perfectly sober come Monday morning, there would be no legal standing to fire him, since he hadn't broken any laws.
You can't fire him over an accusation, unless you want one hell of a lawsuit. If he is doing anything he shouldn't, then he will slip up and be caught. This actually sounds more like a cry for help, otherwise he wouldn't have left the bottles unless he was completely sloshed and forgot about them, in which case he would most certainly have been driving under the influence, which is a pretty serious crime. Watch his behavior and see how he reacts when you ask him about it
It would be best to have the discussion with him first because you're already saying "may have" at least discuss it with him and feel out the conversation before completely shutting it down.
