My uncle is a HS math teacher and like a lot of teachers, he is looking to switch careers. I’m thinking there might be a place for him in logistics. What roles should he start looking at that might suit his skills?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

Any advice and past experiences in such career shit?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Need some advice: I currently do corp dev and FP&A for a smaller company and just got an offer for about double my salary at a F200 company. Was trucking my load across statelines, as one usually does. Turns out the new guy sitting next to me was never properly trained on how to secure said load inside the truck. Now we're trying to put everything back in it's place and it's so annoying. I don't blame him but still.

People say I'm weird, but it's always been my dream to become a truck driver just like my dad. It's not the most glamorous job out there, but it was enough for him an it's enough for me.
