How does one go about getting on volunteer boards for youth STEM programs (ex. Youth science Canada, Ontario science center etc.)?

For context I am an ex consultant and recent executive in a well established deep tech company. We work with university programs, national laboratories etc. and I am passionate about advocating the next generation to take an interest in science and STEM.
