You gotta go to a plaza strip mall in Scarborough and have a roti and some mango juice, check out some TIFF movies, attend some movie premiere parties, play some ping pong at SPIN, go bar or club hopping on King Street, 1 Hotel rooftop lounge for some spectacular skyline views, attend a Raptors game, visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, watch the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, have dinner at the three story Momofuku complex, eat Japanese cheesecake at Uncle Tetsu on Bay Street, walk along the Beaches and try Xola Mexican food on Queen East, take some instagram pics on Queen West / Graffiti Alley, go to Fishman Lobster Clubhouse etc. The real Toronto is in the diverse suburbs and high streets outside of the central business district. Besides London, there isn't a more diverse city in the world and that's the charm of Toronto.

What’s overrated about it?
Check out cool neighbourhoods. Kensington market on sundays, trinity Bellwood’s park neighbourhood, distillery district
Check out these neighborhoods by foot: Yorkville, The beaches, Humber bay.
Rent a bike downtown and go up and down the Martin Goodman trail.
Go for a run in high park
Check out ossington street and that area, rent a bike and go along the water out to Etobicoke and back
Yorkville is great if you’re into high end shopping and fine dining.
Scarborough Bluffs is fun if you’re into views (check out pictures).
Unionville is also a tucked away gem in a suburb - great restaurants, place to stroll around, nearby parks.
It won’t take long to see, but graffiti alley is cool, and there are some other lane ways that have some cool art or structures on them… will try to remember what they are called
This is of course if you like to kinda wander aimlessly and just explore neighborhoods: Croft St, Kensington Pl, Glen Baillie Pl, Fitzroy Terrace, Glasgow St
Ossington and Dundas west areas, lesliville
Stay away from king west
I do enjoying visiting Prince Edward County. Here you’ll find lots to do in PEC https://wanderingwagars.com/things-to-do-in-prince-edward-county/ & https://www.visitpec.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Compressed-County-Visitor-Guide-2020.pdf and if you have the opportunity, check out the 1000 Islands https://visit1000islands.com
Thank you!!!
Just went to PEC for a mini in-province getaway. Tons of wineries (sandbanks, huff estates etc to name a few), sandbank beach is a good spot to lounge if weather permits, the lavender farm if that might interest you, drake Devonshire etc
Ah true, it might have finished blooming by September - but Google to see if it’s still sight worthy by then! As for sandbanks, prior to sept 2 it’s free Monday to Thursday but requires a daily permit Friday to Sunday, but after sept 2 it might be no parking permit required!

Where are you from?
I ask because I’ve lived in both so can make recos based on what you like to do in Van since Toronto attracts a wide range of people for different reasons.
These are all amazing suggestions! I'm definitely up for some urban exploration :)
