One question -were you all looking at your phones?
Did you ask her if she was making a thong?
I'd be super annoyed too. Maybe she genuinely has social anxiety and they told her to knit to calm down. That would be the only instance in which I would not be super annoyed by that. I've always been annoyed by knitters, in general.
Showing off that she can knit, or more likely chalking up hashtags to impress her #knittingcircle on instagraham
No, but I went to a Northeast liberal arts college where knitting was common. I was on student council and one of our most contentious debates was about a student group called, "Knitting Needs." They knitted gloves for needy people in the college's town and then gave them away for free. Half of student council did not want to fund them bc the funds would be leaving the college. Such a small room and so many strong opinions about knitting... also, there is this entire sub-culture of knitters (in their 20/30s) who get on their high horses about about the benefits of knitting. I hate knitting and find the majority of knitters annoying.
Lol, Jesus. That sounds awful. On the other hand, I like sweaters...
That's not introverted- it's rude.
Learning so much about knitting! This is a pleasant surprise
Y'alls are on fire tonight!
A1 some phone use but not the solid stare and ignore ppl. It was a bigger group. Phone use is def less weird than knitting though
@d1 do you go to a lot of old people homes, where knitters are common?
NYT article on the health benefits of knitting- see, it is entire sub-culture of otherwise high quality people: http://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/well/2016/01/25/the-health-benefits-of-knitting/?referer=
NYT says so, it must be true. Health benefits for people who have free time Monday's at 4pm. 😝
I believe that their are benefits, but I don't appreciate them getting on their holier than thou high horses to tell me about them. Maybe not all knitters are holier than thou and just the ones who knit to donate are. Oh, I love my alma mater... Haha
Agreed
